Twelve lunar odes make up the debut album of Bonnie Guitar who was capitalising on her hit 45 ‘Dark Moon’. Falling somewhere between rock n roll pop and the country sound she’d later develop, it’s actually light on the strumming she was named after but with some intriguing versions of standards thrown in there nonetheless. Born in Seattle, Bonnie was one of the first female country singers to chart on the pop and country hitlists alongside Patsy Cline.
