about

That’s some moustache that wraps itself around a great version of Eddy Arnold’s mid 50s hit ‘Just Call Me Lonesome’ (also covered by Ernest Tubb too). It’s a plaintive cry that is echoed through this early 60s opus that wavers from the standard ‘Vaya Con Dios’ through a glorious take on ‘It’s A Sin’ and the aching ‘The Bells That Broke My Heart’. Fiddles moan and steel guitars ring over the middle distance and Slim yearns for as much heartache as anyone can muster.
